Kecak Dance

This is the preparation act of Kecak dance, a traditional dance from Bali, Indonesia.
The performance is usually held in the evening, somewhere between 6 pm with a dim light.
The lighting of the stage only uses torches and candles, therefore creating somewhat mystic and mysterious, yet holy atmosphere .

Before the performance begin, the priest will bless and purify the stages and the dancers for protection and repel bad things from happening.

In this picture, the priest blessed the Kecak dancer who chant "Kecak" during the whole performance.
